We chose this place because it’s less than an hour’s drive from the Hakuba area. The view was beautiful, and the room was clean and comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The large natural hot spring bath was a definite highlight.
Azumino has a similar atmosphere to Karuizawa.

Azumino has a similar atmosphere to Karuizawa, but it’s much quieter and less crowded—which made it even better.
The cottage had a counter-style kitchen, a cozy fireplace to gather around, and amazingly, natural hot spring water came straight from the tap—something you’d never imagine in the city!
For a private rental with its own onsen and such beautiful nature, the price was surprisingly affordable.
I stayed here with my college classmates.

It was surprisingly close—just two and a half hours from Nagoya—so I’m already thinking about coming back more often.
